US Military Domestic Response Times?

Watched some old school Red Dawn tonight and it got me wondering. What is our country's readiness of a domestic invasion?
Hypothetically speaking, let's say we were invaded undetected. Seattle, WA falls under attack and Russian troops are on the ground and have create a perimeter around the city. I assume they would make quick work of local law enforcement, so what is the next line of defense? How soon does the US military have Apache's within striking distance, tanks mounted up and rolling into the city and troops on the ground kicking in doors?
I know the majority of our troops are home now, but what does our national infrastructure look like in terms of homeland defense? Would local National Guard be sent in first while larger bases start deploying equipment to the area?

So Russia has a troop movement large enough to take over a major US city, we don't see it.
And your question is how fast can we get the city BACK?

Literally impossible. But, to play your game, Ft Lewis is literally almost inside the Seattle city limits, with a mechanized division, an SF Group, a Ranger Battalion, and miscellaneous other troops. So, about 15 minutes.

Yes, no probable. Let's also assume Ft. Lewis was taken out during the invasion. Bad example to have a base within limits, but didn't want to go the whole Colorado route as getting Russian troops to the center of our country undetected is more farfetched.
Russia wipes out Seattle defenses. Local Law Enforcement. National Guard. Ft. Lewis.

You're using the word literally incorrectly. Virtually is more appropriate.
Anyways Fort Lewis is more like 45 minutes out of Seattle but still wouldn't be much of an issue to mobilize units.

We'd have air support and/or artillery disabling their equipment in 1 to 4 hours and have them surrounded in 5 to 12 hours, depending on the city and how far away it is from our bases. You'd be looking at a lot of chaos, uncertainty, civilian casualties and probably friendly fires.
There's a lot of frickups in the military now days but their training is still pretty good and their ability to gather and use intelligence fast is as good as ever. "This must be a drill" will be in the back of their minds at least until they are already in transit.

We would have air support there within the hour. not sure how the Russian invasion force could successfully defend an air attack.

We disable all of the internet in Russia. Their forces surrender. We take all their country's money.

I don't think he is. There isn't a navy that exist on this planet that could project enough power all the way across the US, let alone to transport enough force to invade us... Especially with our intelligence, satellites, etc. And of course, our land borders are two weak allies.
I'm not saying it'll last for forever, but no one could invade the US in 2016. However, Russia does still have a nuclear arsenal that could destroy us (and vice versa)

Gonna take a while, I am currently "deployed" to Qatar, which isn't a real deployment, but stay with me.
I saw a flyer for a bake sale, to raise funds in support of LGBT Month supported by our Air Wing...
So... in your situation, we are pretty fricked anyways based on the direction we are trying to push this.
Side note, I want to go, find the lowest price item, ask to buy some muffins, but instead call them the lowest priced item. I assume the clerk will then tell me, oh I'm sorry Sir, those are actually "muffins" for example. I would then state, no those are cookies, and you are a bigot for trying to label them differently than they feel, now charge me the price of cookies and give me the muffin.
Blacked out dates/times

It would take them days if not weeks to overrun the city.
And this is taking in to account I expect most of that population to just lay down to their new overloads.

My apologies, Mr Grammar Nazi But I still contend it would be literally impossible to invade the US undetected with a large conventional force.
A more plausible scenario would be something in the Arctic. During the Cold War, there was a National Guard unit made up entirely of Eskimos, called the Eskimo Scouts who patrolled the far north. They would periodically find signs that the Russians had been there, and presumably, the Russians wanted them to know they had been there. I could see Putin starting trouble up there. Pinprick attacks by SOF forces trained in arctic warfare would be very difficult to prevent entirely.

They'd probably get stuck on I-5.

Figured it would be the Navy hosting this, right?

The national guard would take a while to mobilize.
Most likely scenario is an EMP over the city, you'd have to wipe out comms. Of course it would alert everyone that something is going on but the information would be hard to get out.
That is also assuming that they somehow find a way to get an entire invasion force to our borders without anyone knowing....

The only way Russia events attempts said land invasion is if they can get missles in undetected also or have an edge in electronic warfare technology, taking out response capabilities we are discussing in order to be able to successfully secure a foothold on the west coast.
So if they were on the ground: most hypothetical bases, reactions, units, and defenses we are discussing are gone.
If they aren't gone Russians wouldn't invade. Just like we wouldn't drop off American troops in Afghanistan or Iraq (much less Russia) without disabling enough of the enemy response capabilities for it to not be a suicide mission.
So this war wouldn't play out like that. But if it did and they took Seattle and we had full capabilities.... They would either hold the city hostage hoping we don't risk civilian casualties, or all be dead or captured within days.
They would never step foot out of Seattle or advance anywhere. Even if they could somehow secure a supply line, which would be impossible with our navy.
I'd compare it to one gunman running into a large city's police station and taking the receptionist hostage. He can sit there with a gun to her head hoping the cops rushing around w guns drawn won't shoot. The hostage might end up dead but he will also be dead immediately after, and there is no chance of him taking control of the station.
I really don't see the point

We are already being silently invaded with help from our own government.
