re: Bryan Jones is off the board

Looks like we are pretty interested but not enough so to make an offer just yet. I would be surprised if an offer doesn't come down the road.

Madison Prep defensive end Bryan Jones is getting looks from schools across the country, with the four-star prospect's scholarship total now sitting at 29 offers.

While LSU has not offered the Baton Rouge standout yet, the Tigers were the first school to drop in on the nation's No. 7 strongside defensive end this week during the spring evaluation period, with defensive line coach Ed Orgeron making his presence felt on Wednesday morning.

"When I got there for morning workouts, he was already in the building ready to watch," Jones said. "I had gotten there at 5 a.m. on the dot pretty much, and he was already standing in there in his LSU gear waiting. That was pretty cool to see him showing that kind of interest. It let me know he was serious.

"Coach O couldn't really talk with me because of the evaluation rules, but he was able to watch the workout and give me coach some feedback. He let me know to just keep working hard and have patience, and that an offer could still come. He was impressed, he just wants me to keep working on my body movements and getting stronger. But he did say they liked me a lot."
