Lol, he was damn near 15-20 ft from SS. It wasn't a deep enough hit to score from second, regardless of the runner's speed.

You serious? You've got to send those runners.

bull shite. it's like sending the runner to certain death vs giving the next batter the opportunity to win it.

For throwing him out from shortstop?

It's only certain death in retrospect. The odds of beating the throw or the throw being off line is just as good as the next batter advancing with two outs. With that runner at that point in the game I'm fine with sending him.

With Short on the mound?

Fraley coming up and it's a lefty/lefty matchup. That runner is gonna be sent every time. He'll take his chances of the CF making a bad throw, catcher bobbling the ball, etc. With 4 outs left in the game they're going to send the runner every time. Whether right or wrong. It didn't work out this time. If the throw would've been up the first base line and Breaux scores to tie the game, are y'all still saying he shouldn't have sent him?

We're saying the odds of a throw that short being off aren't as good as taking a chance with Fraley, even with a lefty.
do yall realize the CF was about 10 feet behind the SS and is known for his arm??? No way you send him. Yall are crazy. It wasn't remotely close

Okie dokie smartass....
1) you're telling me that 1 out of every 4 throws just like Bugg attempted are errant????

2) the CF is known for his ability to throw runners out. He's 10ft behind SS on a routine play for him (Buggs was not) and the runner is on 3rd, you're sending him. It's basically a SS having to throw a runner out from 3rd....

You're a dipshit if you think that was smart.

I understand that any throw anywhere anytime can go wrong, but it's not good odds.... you clearly don't understand that and neither does Cain

What I'm saying is that considering all factors I have no problem with Cain sending him. And that you are a dipshit without qualification.

You're response tells me you really have no fricking idea what you're talking about. Cain was put in a pressure situation, but it was the wrong decision by a mile.... you have to assume that fielding play is made 9 times out of 10. It wasn't even close. So unless your next batter is under .100 he made the wrong decision. Wake the F up

I have to agree with this. If he would come out and say hey I took a chance and it didn't work out. I would be okay with this. But it was clear very early a decent throw would get him.

Better odds of Breaux scoring than two lefties getting back-to-back hits off Short. That's why he sent him.

You assume that play is made 9/10 times. Not me. I reject the premise.

Breauxs odds of making it were about 1 in 60 or 70.... so no. What don't yall understand about where the ball was when Breaux was on 3rd.... Deion Sanders wouldn't have made it with my wife in CF. You're just hoping a short routine throw is errant. Terrible odds you're playing with. Yall must really really suck at casino games....

Casino games have nothing to do with it. And your wife must have a hose!

I love arguing on the Internet. By post 15 everybody is a jackass, dipshit, dumbass, and idiot.

Sorry for name calling if it hurt your feelings, just don't understand the logic behind ever thinking Breaux had a chance of making it beyond near divine intervention....

Dude he was out by a mile. I understand your situational thinking and I get it but he wasn't making it there barring a disasterious throw.
