You aren't in the LGD. That starts on the other side of the interstate near you.
You are basically in the Convention Center/Warehouse District area. Its one of the safest parts of the city. There are some sketch areas not super far from you but I doubt you wander into Central City.
You can walk to virtually any attraction in the city. WW2 museum, Warehouse District, River, FQ, CBD. Nola is a super walkable city and you are near everything at the Convention Center. If you really wanted to you can take an Uber/Streetcar/ Taxi or whatever.
If you're walking in the LGD stick to Magazine St, Prytania, or St Charles.
