Anyone interested in starting up a new league. Would like to keep it free, as there are plenty of good pay leagues on TD already.

I'm happy to serve as commish, and I'm open to all suggestions in terms of preferences for league settings, including member number, rotisserie vs H2H, etc.

In terms of my own preferences, my only request would be an initial auction draft for the league. We can discuss keepers, re-drafts, etc once the league members have been determined.

Current Owners:
1. LSUtiga2121
2. JamalSanders
3. JamalSanders +1
4. JamalSanders +2
5. BRUNNIN4
6. BRUNNIN4 +1
7. BRUNNIN4 +2
8. LSU-Richoux
9. Rballa19
10. tzimme4
11. LSUsportsman2
12. Lou Pai

DRAFT: Monday, April 4 @ 8:00 PM

Cmon my friend, read past the first two words in the subject.

Would be happy to have you if you're still interested, though.

ESPN would be my preference as well.

I'll count you both in.

My preference is a H2H points league and I don't really care about any other rules.

EDIT: And no re-drafts, what is the point of drafting if you are just going to do it over again. Keepers or contracts would be cool.

I also favor a H2H league - keeps owners in the running longer for playoff spots, no banality of trying to improve individual stat categories over the course of a full year.

For those of you already in - how does a draft sometime tomorrow night sound (Thursday, March 31st). Anyone not available?

I can do that if the draft starts after 8 CT. How long does an auction draft take?

Usually no longer than a traditional draft, in total. Your auction strategy usually dictates how attentive you have to be to the draft throughout.

I will say this - I have converted my two main fantasy football leagues to auction drafts and - despite initial whining and reluctance - all the owners universally will now tell you that they much prefer the auction draft. Really gives you a sens of picking your "own team" since you can essentially choose (with limits, due to the budget) the precise players you want across the board, and not be stuck with a certain selection based on your draft position and who is still available at the time of your pick.

For instance, if you really want to draft Trout, Kershaw, and Harper - you can have the trio on your team. Just don't expect to have much money leftover afterwards to nab any other players until the late rounds when you'll fill your roster with the bargain-bin players. Or perhaps you'd like to draft the top 3 SPs. Or, if there is a player anywhere on the draft board that you truly value and are confident in his ability to have a great season - he can drafted onto your roster. You always seem to come out pretty satisfied with your roster because it's the players YOU chose.

I never played fantasy baseball before and never did an auction type draft in football but I could be interested. I always wanted to try fantasy baseball. I definitely won't be available till after 8pm tomorrow maybe even 8:30pm but if there is a way to setup some prelim stuff i could maybe do it.

Happy to put you in, LSU-Richoux. However, I want to make sure we get a draft time that works for everyone. Auction draft loses some of its luster if a bunch of owners are on auto draft.
