There are many different variations of the 3-4. The 3-4 depth chart you have for lsu is basically just a 4-3 with our de just standing up. IMO we have 1 DE that is athletic enough to drop in coverage(Key). If you always use the Jack to blitz then youre taking away the advantages of running a 3-4.
