You think I went out there and kicked it a few times and came to the conclusion on my own that the compressor went bad?

Also, I changed out both capacitors before I called anybody initially and I even checked the drip pan!

To the person asking, it is a 3-ton unit

you're one up on most people who have no clue. Changing the start/run capacitor was the right thing to do. Tell me this. When the condensing unit would kick on, did the fan run? Did the compressor even make a humming sound?
