Looking for names of a couple of places around LSU (early 1980s)

Back in 1982-83, I was a Sophomore in high school and I had taken an Ag class. In February of '83 (on a Friday, I believe) our teacher had scheduled a trip for us to LSU for a livestock show and rodeo. Left school around 7 a.m. and arrived there around 8 a.m., then our teacher stood up and told us, "I don't want to see you guys until the rodeo starts" which was around 7 p.m. Most of us split up and at one point I soloed to wander around campus and off-campus.

I was wondering if that shopping center had a music store? I bought a couple of cassettes in a music store and they stamped the date and I think the name of the store on the cassette case j-card but I cannot find the cassette since it's packed away. Just wondering what the name of the store was.
Later that day, I met up with some of my classmates and they wanted to eat so, they decided to go to a little hamburger hut that sold burgers cheap. I can't remember the exact cost but it may have been 25¢ or 50¢ for a burger. I think was located on Highland or Nicholson.

The music store was Kadair's. I bought most stuff @ New Generation on Florida (and then on Chimes) or Lesiure Landing, but I would go look @ Kadair's if they had stuff on sale.

Kadair's was there for a while till Paradise Records moved into the same spot later. Leisure Landing was on Chimes street during that time in the area next to the old Bayou (now Mahoneys). New Generation was roughly in the area where Highland Coffees is now. There used to be a little courtyard in there before they changed it all.

I think the Wienerscnitzel closed for a while during that time period and there was so e kind of 25 cent hamburger stand there, in the A-frame building just north of campus on Highland Rd.
Wienerchnitzel returned later. I just Googled it and apparently Wienerscnitzel and the Original Hamburger Stand are sister companies, so maybe that was it.

The rodeo you mentioned was probably held in the LSU Ag Center/Parker Coliseum, and University Shopping Center would have been on the other side of campus so doable for a walking field trip.
Village Square shopping center was on College (where Walmart is now) and too far to walk to campus. I don't remember a music store there but it's possible. I do remember Paradise Records on Highland near The Varsity and then later in University Shopping Center across the street, but this would've been later '80s for me and as others have mentioned, the name was probably different when you were there.
