How does one become a "legendary youth baseball coach"? WTF does that mean, who is this guy, and why does his opinion matter either way? I don't understand all the hate for travel ball on this board. I played on the same team from 9-14 years old and loved it. Would've rather played with that team than my high school team if given the chance and we won state twice in my 4 years in high school.

Not every travel team is out there recruiting kids from team to team. We traveled all over the southeast and I had some of the best memories with that team. I really think the generalization that all travel ball is bad is ridiculous.

Think about all the money and time your parents spent on it. Travel ball is so millennial, hey mom and dad give up all your weekends and drive around the SE so I can play baseball.
