Luwawu is 6'7 205 pounds with a 7'2 wingspan at 19-20 years old. Larger wingspans = ability to put on weight easily as that usually means broad shoulders. See Dwight, AD, Giannis.
Video of his strengths
Weaknesses
In comparison, Batum is 6'8 200 pounds, Kawhi is 6'7 229, Deng is 6'9 220, Giannis is 6'11 216, PG13 and Jimmy both weight 220 pounds. It is not unfeasable for him to gain 10-15 pounds easily with NBA nutritionists and training.
Point blank he could make his size work in the NBA easily right now as a rookie, and he also will continue to grow with that wingspan
He has the wingspan, yes, but he also has a small frame. Which limits the size he can pack on. It is the difference between a guy like Antony Davis and Nerlens Noel.
Davis was praised because while he is skinny he has the frame to pack on a ton of muscle and remain athletic, Noel is more limited due to his frame. Now Luwawu isnt being knocked on that level but he is a good bit undersized as of now.
He is 20 going on 21 in a little over a month.
Larger wingspans don't necessarily mean you can put on weight easily. And as my point was about, we are talking about the "strength" of a guy being a plus for this guy and somehow a negative for Hield while Hield is 20 pounds heavier(lean I might add) at a position that doesnt need as much size as the one Luwawu would be playing.
But again, my point isnt to say Luwawu CAN'T or won't add enough size, it is just pushing back against this hypocritical analysis some have engaged in.
