That's a terrible idea. I took a pay cut to change jobs about 20 months ago. To really plan your future you can't be so nearsighted.

This is true. I've worked for the same company for almost 11 years now. About 3 years ago they hired a guy for the same level position as me with ALOT less field experience (he has a degree - I don't) and he started out making $5k more a year than I was.
