for sure management went into the early rounds of the draft looking to take less risks, and put starters onto the field. We knew when they spent loads of time with Stephone before the draft that they were looking to draft great character guys, and team captains, to stop the locker room slide. Stephone probably could have been there in the 2nd. That part didn't matter. They wanted him on this team.
PLENTY of people on this board loved Marcus Peters... but he was a headcase! So we passed. That same locker-room scare might have kept us off of he who must not be named... who could have played RT or guard. What could have been?
1.13 Marcus Peters, CB (DROY)
1.31 Donovan Smith, OT
2.44 probably still, Stephone Anthony or at least Eric Kendricks, ILB
3.75 still Garrett Grayson, QB
3.78 no need for PJ, let's get Jahri's replacement. forget LC, how about John Miller, G
what ends up changing? DROY at CB, Stephone still at ILB.
Donovan Smith struggled at LT for the Bucs, but would have never been asked to play LT here... Mike Mayock called him a "prototype right tackle". John Miller is starting RG for the Bills.
So we'd be coming into this season same ILB, better CB, maybe better RT, and G...
We draft Jaylon or Myles to play WLB, snag a DT in the 2nd..
Then look at one of what seems like 20 starting SEC LT's that came out early and will be there in the 3rd, to play the swing G/T role. Seriously, so damn many. Germain Ifedi, Shon Coleman, Jerald Hawkins, Brandon Shell, Fahn Cooper...
OL: LT Tevon, LG Lelito, C Unger, RG Miller, RT Donovan
LB: SLB Ellerbe, MLB Anthony, WLB Smith
CB: Peters, Breaux, Swann
Let's hope that locker room gutting really shows up on the field this season.

Why Grayson still?
And frick that, if you're going for it go for who everyone knew would be good and spell it out, La'el Collins. Peters, Kikaha and Anthony, get Jaelen Strong or Tyler Lockett instead of Grayson, and get Collins.
