Is "Anthony" listed in invisible ink in my initial post?

Yes?

I keep hearing on talk radio and from the coaches of how we are on the right path with the draft and know our formula now. Lauding Ireland, etc.

I don't get it. We had a good draft position and only see one player as a lock as a long term high level starter.

Peat - should be a stud at his draft position. I don't see how anyone could argue that there is a more than 50% chance that he is even a starter in this league in 3 years.

Kikaha - or however you spell his name, was a reach just as Peat was. Looks slow to me and nothing more than a high motor, good character rotational player. I want to believe he's awesome as I see posted everywhere on this board, but don't see it.

Outside of that - I could go into specifics, but no one that even looks like a lock to be in the league for more than another year.

Am I missing something, as I think last year was as much of a failure as the past 7 years.

Would prefer that we put the draft on "auto pick" in future.

Somehow on my iPad it says his name. But maybe it's the invisible ink option on yours.

I am the only person in this thread to mention him so far. WHich is unbelievably depressing.

And who could this be in your mind "
I don't get it. We had a good draft position and only see one player as a lock as a long term high level starter. ". Do I have to spell it out?

Since you won't breakdown the draft player by player, and you seem to completely dismiss the talent we did draft, here you go:

Peat 1st- starting olineman. solid player. should develop well.

Anthony 1st- Possbily the best rookie LB in the league

Kikaha 2nd- great player. lots of upside. Looks to be a solid compliment to Anthony and Jordan upfront. He finished with 4 sacks and 4 forced fumbles

THEN:
PJ Williams 3rd - we'll see. but i dont hate the pick. Very impressive collegiate career culminating in a INT in being named the Defensive MVP of the National Championship Game.

G Grayson 3rd - our HC is an offensive coordinator and a QB coach. If he wants this guy, i'm not going to argue.

Tull 5th - injued, who knows, but he is a 5th round player, so we'll see

Tyeler Davison 5th - depth and a backup. Thats what you do with a 5th round pick. He did get some playing time and get 2 sacks.

Swann 5th - injury problems, but solid depth player

Murphy 7th- started on special teams. needs to get his hands checked. who cares. 7th rounder.

------------------------

I mean. what do you want? You cant see that's a solid draft and our best in years? Our first three picks are solid starters. The later rounds we used for depth and took some chances.

Explain what you would have rather done.

Explain why 3 or 4 starters, 2 guys we havent seen yet, and 2 solid backups is a shitty draft.

While reading through this thread I kept thinking why everyone wasn't talking about Anthony. Thought I was going crazy.

He is the first rookie I thought of, but I really wanted to read the ramblings.
