now JBE is using scare tactics to get the legislative attention...

At least you realize Jindal and his legislature created this, but I'm not sure this is scare tactics. Those would be things like "if we don't raise taxes on dog owners, new orleans is going to fall into the gulf."

What we're hearing now mostly comes from Jay Dardenne and the fact is that now that we have sound accounting practices we are realizing "holy shite, we're 3 billion in the hole over the next two years."

For a good example of how much money that is:

1,000,000 - that's a million. that's .033% of the amount of shortfall we have.

I would have to print that out 3,000 times to get to 3 billion.

This is no joke, and you clowns need to recognize that.

This is kind of true though. Geology student here. The Mississippi river is going to change course no matter how much money you throw at it even without the army corp of engineers. New Orleans and se Louisiana will wash away in a couple generations after the river shifts. Throwing money at it can save it for 100 years or so.

Unless you build the first domed city, which would be badass.

I know what you are trying to say here but your math skills didn't work out. I hope that your finger just slipped and hit the "4" instead of the "3" when you said 4 billion.

1,000,000
x 3,000
3,000,000,000 (not 4 Billion)
