You know. The "van wilder" types

Got one that is 7+ years in and working on business degree. No jobs to my knowledge as well. Dude is living the life. /sarcasm

When is it time to let college go and join the real world?

I'd never before met someone who had a degree in "General Studies", but as a guy from my H/S can attest, they do exist.

I don't think you should judge people you don't know.

Roomed with a 30-year-old dude that kept failing his last undergrad class. Like he had some kind of mental block about finally graduating and having to become responsible. Was an alcoholic, too. Got a DUI, so he started riding his bike around town and to the bars. His parents finally gave up on him and moved him out of my apartment after failing some Art Survey/Appreciation class again.

That's the saddest story I've ever heard. Does he still ride his bike to the bars?

At LSU this just means having 3 minors and no major.

Know a Gen. Business major at A&M in his 7th year. Total tool.

Knew a guy who received no financial support from his parents, refused high-interest loans and battled Leukemia for a couple years starting at age 20. Well, this LOSER took EIGHT YEARS to graduate. EIGHT YEARS.

His degree and the A&M network will still get him a nice job

Lost contact with him afterward. Last I heard he was a coin change maker in one of the Coast casino arcades. But that was years ago.

I meant Interdisciplinary Studies. Basically at the school I went to it means you had around 125 credit hours and didn't know wtf you wanted to major in, so you take a little bit of everything and they give you a degree

I just partied a lot. If I had it to do over I wouldn't change a thing.

Also took a year off to travel and recharge batteries after I graduated so it was 7 before I went to work.
