Exactly. Nobody trying EVER does that. It really just doesn't happen. This whole "he only had a split second to make the decision"is baffling to me. Thats all anybody ever had and they always aggressively dive on the ball, virtually without exception. It would make sense if people were arguing the exact opposite. "Yeh it would have been better for him to not dive on the ball in hindsight, but its completely unrealistic to expect a player to not aggressively react to getting a fumble." That would be a good point. A player not having enough time to realize he shouldn't candy arse on the outskirts of the action and hope the ball bounces to him is an absolutely hilarious notion.
