yep. If it were me, or if my kid was a big-time recruit, no way would I do it like that. Simply sign the papers in private.
Or if the high school wanted to do a thing for multiple players that were getting scholarships, I'd at least sit at the table with my other teammates and simply announce, with no drama or spectacle, that I was signing with ________.
Simple, classy, unpretentious. But that's rare nowadays.

. But make i agree with the simple and classy part. Wish there were more humble guys. Fournette, to me, was a great example of how guys should do it.
