If we can't get Rodriguez, which I think will be almost impossible, or Nick, Spurrier, or Del Rio -- which will all be long shots...
what about Ron Zook? He's an awesome recruiter, he did well at UF, and he's kicking arse now at Illinois.

You really think the LSU Fanbase is going to be satisfied with that?
Awesome recruiter, but at the SEC level he proved to be a terrible gameday coach.

You message board elitists are amusing. Zook is a decent second or third choice, as I stated. I have a feeling he'll be a more appealing hire after the first round of no's from the top 5 guys we think we'll get.
Of those long shots, I think we have the best chance with SOS....except that, as someone else on the board commented yesterday, there isn't a decent golf course in LA.
