Sorry for the stress, muddbone. I think I may have said it before, but an immediate relative of mine played pro ball at QB. I was the only member of the family to be on message boards. All of the rest barely even read the paper due to the frustration of other people's idiocy from fans to reporters.
Anyway, there are great things about being online but there are also crappy things. Be prepared for the good with the bad. Just wait until your son gets torched for a touchdown and his school loses as a result, you'll see a level of vitriol you've never experienced from message board heroes.
I read people hoping my relative got run over by a bus and other death wishes as a result of his play. Good times. That being said, I still hang on the message board I joined for his team, despite the fact he's retired from the league for quite a few years.
Anyway, this phase will be over soon, and the honeymoon of whatever school your son attends will begin. Good luck to your entire family!
