We don't know if the school crossed the line or not. The linked article is very editorialized.

I believe it is an editorial. But if these things are true....

Then the school has crossed the line from teaching about Christianity and Islam from a historic standpoint and instead are promoting one over the other. That's a textbook violation of the Constitution.
