Lived here for ten years.. I've never noticed anyone go out of their way to complain about BR or Nola. The only time I've seen people get in a shite fit about other towns is when someone comes here and wants to point out what sucks, what we don't have, what we should have, what other places have, etc.

I guess that could be interpreted as "not welcome to outsiders". Some people do seem to be unable to let stuff go, however. Instead of ignoring the complainers and enjoying what they have, they want to try and convince people why Lafayette is so great and end up sounding like a whiny little brother.

I am very disappointed that diat150 has not spewed off some stupid mma affliction crap in this thread.

Growing up in 70508 was good to me.
