I'm not a recruiting guru, but a quick google search found this...

Jimbo has the #4 class, I think we would have come out more than okay.
Now, if we didn't get Jimbo and settled for a second or third tier candidate, then we could have taken a big fall.

Are we still living in the fantasy world where jimbo leaves his national champion program to come to LSU and have to beat Alabama, Auburn, and Florida each year to have a shot at being in the top four?
Saban's last year LSU was 9-3 and 16th ranked.
If Les was gone we would be 15-20 in recruiting.
