The chances of a home invasion are extremely small to begin with. If you're going to prepare for that extremely small chance why not be prepared for others?

This is where preppers have a mindset advantage - and I like the Zombie Apocalypse preppers, in particular. Why? Because it is never going to happen.
But - that mental model is highly adaptable. If one is prepared for the Zombie Apocalypse, in the abstract, it is difficult to imagine a scenario where those preparations aren't transferable.
