re: American Horror Story - Hotel...how bad was it?

I thought the ending of it was pretty strong.
There was a lot of good stuff. Denis O'Hare killed it as Liz Taylor. Evan Peters was great, especially with the old time accent and the moustache. Kathy Bates was good. Lady Gaga has an arse and a half.
But the series wasn't scary and didn't have much drive. Last season, Dandy and Twisty were legit threats. Things just kind of meandered along. And I couldn't freaking stand the serial killer cop.
