We all know Brees and Wilson. Tarkenton was good too, but you dodged the question.

"When is the last time a 5'9"-5' 11" quarterback helmed a National Championship team? Or for that matter an SEC West Championship team?"

That is all that matters to some LSU fans. The main reason people want Scott is that he is from LA, and he is good. Hope he signs with LSU, just not as the only QB that we sign.

Hey I get it. I like my chics 6'7"

No doubt height hurts him. It hard to argue that it wouldnt work, when statistically you just havent had guys in that height range playing at those schools. Its like saying it can't happen just cause it hasnt. Your question was incomplete though. It should have been, How many:

(1) short QBs, who had
(2) a championship coach (like Saban),
(3) a heisman caliber running back (Henry),
(4) and a championship defense

have won National Championships. Smaller QBs would hardly find themselves in such a program. So Drew Brees would have to leave his home state of Texas and go to Purdue. But its what he does at Purdue, and the NFL, that proves that he was capable all along.

Tonight, Jake Coker did absolutely nothing that required being over 6'0". So, I could make the argument that Russell Wilson would have done just fine on this years BAMA team.

You are right, 4.4 makes you an athlete all day. I'm sending a letter of rec to A&M (for what its worth ). I would love to see Scott play in Tiger Stadium, no matter what color he's wearing. The kind of stuff good story lines are made of. "Prodgal Son"

Are you drunk? You just said what I have been saying. The odds are against a shorter quarterback in the SEC and 6' 7" Defensive lineman. Is it possible? Sure it is. Just very unlikely. Not all Louisiana High School quarterbacks get to play for LSU.
