This is how good parenting is done. One of the main things a parent has to teach their kids is about the consequences of their actions both good and bad. There is a time and place for corporal punishment and not all situations call for it. If you do it right, spankings should be rare and never done in anger.

As a youth coach, you can literally point out the "no spanks". The way some kids talk to their parents; sheesh.
