Is there really no one we can pull out of the state legislature or any principled conservative businessmen in baton rouge that will run against these sleazy clowns?

Would you take the job?

You have to be a sleazy clown to be drawn to politics in the first place.

Valid point.

I want someone to make credible strides for fixing education in this city. Not "throw money at the problem". More along the lines of breaking up the school district and forming smaller independent school districts like another poster said.

The 2nd would be to have someone that could influence the interstate traffic. I don't think a mayor really has control over that mess, but maybe he could nudge the right person the proper way.

3rd, eliminate redundant and needless spending. Focus on drainage improvements and infrastructure improvements.
