Will the student section fill up?

I made sure to get a flight back early just for this game. But will there be enough students in town to fill the student section?

I bet you can go pick whatever seat you want.

Will those lame fricks in the front rows be leading the charge?

Apparently we had to "reserve" seats in advance

Why people hate on the student section when the upper decks and some of the lower has been a ghost town all season is beyond me.

It isn't "hate" directed at them as much as it is a strange curiosity....I mean, the lower section group looks like they came straight from the bar scene of the original Star Wars...

That having been said, I hope the gal that looks like Darlene from Roseanne shows up tonight..

I will not be there. I missed the email saying that we needed to reserve tickets, it got sent to my junk mail. Called the ticket office today and was told I might be able to buy a student guest ticket for full ticket price and sit in the SS if there is room.

If you are a student, and there is a student seat available, then you should be able to sit in it for free, as usual. I don't care whether you missed a deadline or not....it is absolute horseshite that a student would have to pay full price to sit in the student section.
I am sympathetic to this situation because when I was a freshman in 1988, I missed the deadline for picking up my student football tickets, which were only $5 each back then. When I went to the ticket office to claim them a couple of days late, I was told that my tickets were still available, but I would have to pay the full price for a guest ticket, which back then was $24. Yes, I was guilty of missing an arbitrary deadline, but since the seats were still available....why couldn't I just get them for the $5 that they were originally priced for? That was my first introduction to bullshite LSU politics/athletic money-grabbing.
I gave in and bought tickets for Auburn and Miami at full price because I didn't want to miss those games...and I ended up getting tix for the other games from people who didn't use theirs....but it seemed like bullshite. I guess nothing has changed.

The line prior to the doors opening at 6:30pm will tell alot.

I was told two different things by two different people at the ticket office. First person said $5 for a guest ticket. When I called back to ask one more question, they told me that the previous info was wrong that I would have to pay full price. But I could wait around and go in for free if there are still seats available, after tip-off.

I don't get why LSU just couldn't do a first come first serve for the LSU student section. when they hit student section capacity number, stop letting in students. It is free entry for students, not sure if all of people who RSVP'd in advance will show up.

Apparently they reserve a certain number of the student section's seats for student's guests each game. The girl at the ticket office just told me that they have to have the guest tickets available, even if that means cutting off the number of students who can attend the game.

For the wake forest game, the student section was pretty empty while the rest of the pmac was pretty full. Im sure they did it this way to make sure that doesnt happen for this game. They also announced that they will sell SRO tickets if students dont show. Im glad they did it this way.

But now any students who didn't see the email 2 weeks ago have to pay full price to get into the game.

Is there a line forming for the student section? doors open in under 2 hours.
