That is where we disagree.

If Miles finishes 4th or worst in the SEC West next year they will have all the political capital they need and the money also. If they had the money from the boosters to buy him and the staff out this year, they will have it next year when it is less.

They just got humiliated on a national stage by the media, Shaq et al

Aleva was gutted by his boss in a very public way

4th in the SECW is not nearly enough damage for those guys to stick their necks out again and face the outcries

Alexander just said they were worried about appearing "mean spirited"

Miles stared them down and they blinked, 4-8 or 5-7 with the wheels coming off gets the conversation started. 3 wins or less, a major NCAA Investigation or Les involved in some sort of scandal might be bad enough for Alexander to reverse course

Otherwise miles is here as long as he wants to be
