How do you know if you've never bought one?

I've had two Dell laptops over the last 13 years. Both have gone with me on nine trips to Afghanistan/Iraq/HOA. I bought them because I needed something to watch movies on more or less, and because I got two pretty good discounts on them each time. The first was an older Inspiron and other than changing the charger twice, I didn't have a single problem in six years. The second, which I still use on client site visits, is an XPS. The only thing I've done is upgrade to a bigger battery and install an SSD. Works great for everything I need, and it's about seven years old now.

So, Dell is pretty damn good in my opinion, and you're probably just talking out your arse because you couldn't solve a very basic issue you had with one "this one time".
