I did this with various candy.
Werther's Original and Red Hots (tasted like Fireball) were pretty good.
Starburst was disgusting.
Also tried to infuse with lemon and that turned out pretty horrible as well.

Someone bought us an "infuser" (basically a caraffe with an sieve like insert that you stuff your adjuncts into then lower into the booze).
We've never used it and probably don't intend to.
I infuse my booze with ice on occasion. That's about it.
