Is that why they named Barry Bonds something like John Dowd in the mlb video games? I can't remember if there was some issue where he didn't agree to his likeness being used or some kind of punishment.

ETA: I looked it up and apparently it was a coincidence that one of the designers or producers of the game was named Jon Dowd and that's who his character was named after. Also Barry and a few others were not a part of the players union. The game makers only reached an agreement with the union and not individually with Bonds and others.
