Finally, this.
When I was at LSU, we were able to recruit HUNDREDS of scholarship-eligible students (every demographic) from the state of Texas because of this rule. It always amazed me that they would do this, but it is their choice.
As for the "victim" in the OP, I understand exactly what the OP is doing. Good for you. However, if you ever had the "pleasure" of sitting on these types of committees and seeing/hearing the ignorance spewed while these SJW types skew admissions standards in order to make themselves feel good, you wouldn't be so "proud" of situations like this. It isn't just "ugly white girls" that get fricked over with this mentality.
The road to hell today is always paved with good SJW intentions.
Oh the stories I could tell, but I won't.
