The Fournette Effect: The only way for Miles to adjust Posted by TigerBert online on 12/10/15 at 8:31 pm While we can all agree that it was unfortunate that LF7 had to experience the Bama game, there is a silver lining. Miles was the last man on the planet who felt that he could outman and out-physical Bama with "want" toughness and endurance. It took the best back in a generation, which he clearly is despite the month of November, for Miles to see that his philosophy is broke and outdated. Any back of lesser caliber would not have gotten the attention of the boosters, and even though he was protected by Jindal and King, even Miles now knows, perhaps for the first time, that he has to change. That's how Miles is. He does not adjust unless he had no other option. So, in the big picture of the LSU football future, this may be just what the program needed. Not good for us as fans to experience, and certainly not for Fournette, but for the LSU program, this may just allow the adjustments needed for the 2016-and-beyond timeframe.
