The high end martins are by far the best.
But if we are talking about a Taylor that costs 1k to 1500 and a Martin in that same price range, the Taylor is much better.
It's when the Martins start costing 2k+ that you get those really great guitars.

Those are just my opinions. I haven't played a lot of different acoustic guitars. Those are the ones that I've played and I liked. I would love to see some of you who are far more experienced than me list your top guitars. I always enjoy reading what others have in mind.
