Why do people have a problem with a guy that runs an offense that had a 3,000 yard passer, two 1,000 yard receivers, and a 1,000 yard rusher? Is it not obvious that Cam was limited by his QB the past couple seasons? We've been behind the 8 ball since Perriloux, and have had a shitty run of bad luck with high profile QBs bailing on us. Why do people suddenly think Cam doesn't know how to run an offense? And before people chime in with "Les is holding him back," why didn't Les hold him back when Mett was here?

You don't remember the details of that season. Most of that 3000 yards passing came on desperation 3rd and longs. That was all on massive talent. We need to be able to succeed sometimes without the best talent in the land. You can't get 4 players of that caliber very often.

I don't.

The main issue as I see it - the coaches keep saying they want a game manager, and the media uses this term extensively. Just get the ball to the play makers they say...don't turn the ball over they say. I hate that term..."game manager."

Well, any good QB coming out of high school will hear this and does not want to be a game manager. They have dreams just like the other position players of being the guy that leads the teams, makes the right audible call at the LOS that results in a big gain...etc.

Just about every OC we've had doesn't just become shitty overnight! Everyone here thinks as soon as they sign the contract they do a brain dump and become a 3-play OC.

High profile QBs are bailing because they don't want to just be a game manager. Their parents see the clusterfrick and don't want their kids to be a part of that.
