That's fine BigEd you got that point made. But explain to me why West Monroe and Acadiana voted FOR the split?

Totally understandable why 3A and lower publics voted for it. But 4A hadn't had a private win it in Idk how long. And it was about a decade gap between Rummels championship and the last private champion.

Each class had a vote for whether they wanted the split. So, there's only one excuse... A lot of public schools coaches and administrators are scared. Scared to death of better competition. Gimme the easiest route to the dome and whine about how the privates recruit all of our kids...

Kudos to Zachary and the few other public schools for voting down the split. Too bad the rest of this state has a gaping vagina between their legs.

I have no clue. As it personally effects my son, I'm for the split. Hes in elementary school but the HS varsity is forced to play in a district where they get demolished.

Some publics can compete with privates.

I'd be in favor of creating some type of ranking schematic where powerhouse programs, public and private, are playing each other. But if you dominate at a lower level for a few years you are forced up. On the flip side, if you get destroyed annually you should be moved down.

I haven't really thought this out a lot, I'm sure that has drawbacks I'm not seeing.
