If you fire your long time successful head coach for no actual good reason other than impatience, enjoy being Texas, which has become the fricking speed bump of the Big 12.

Texas had similar delusions about being special and having enough money and resources to power its way back to being "elite."

Watching them get hammered by putrid Iowa State sure was special. They'll also get to enjoy being elite enough that they'll be watching all of the bowl games on fricking TV because they can't cobble together enough wins to actually play in one.

They'll suck even worse when they fire Charlie Strong next week so that they can take a second try at sucking off Saban. Their recruits will abandon them, and they'll be stuck with bullshite at HC because they have zero fricking patience and demand results now, and no coach on earth has a hard-on for that.

Be elite. Fire our coach and then start bitching at the next guy when he can't beat Saban.

They were dead set on Saban, and may have very well been close to getting him,but it didnt work out. I don't think they'd be much better if they still had Mack though.

Regardless, you can't use another school's misfortune as evidence that it won't work out for LSU. LSU just better make sure they have someone ready to go after next year if Miles doesn't meet expectations.

Actually they waited a year too long to fire their once successful but then unsuccessful coach. Mack Browns last year he went 8-5 and had a recruiting class ranked 24th with only 15 players committed.

Do fortune 100 companies wait until their CEO runs them into the ground before they make a change or do they make a change as soon as they notice that CEO has had a string of bad under performing years?

Texas clearly was a little late in making a change. No one is great forever. No coach, no athlete....no CEO.

How in the hell do you know LSU wouldn't have success with a new HC? So you would just rather continue on a trail we have been on for multiple years now? When is the right time? So you are saying we would fall into Texas's footsteps if we let go of Miles? Go ahead give Miles next year, but it's great season or bye Felicia Mr. Hire and fire people guy
