CCG would be irrelevant. Both division winners would have two losses and a runner up would have 1 loss. The question would be over how to address nonconference games and the fact that teams in the same division have radically different OOC schedules.
The committee seems to put a lot of weight on conference champions, and I agree with them. If you didn't win your conference, then you didn't take care of business on the field. Tough cookies.

So when LSU got in over Georgia in 2007, the argument was "Georgia didn't even win their own division".
So people are talking about Bama over Ole Miss (hypothetical) because "Bama is better and conference championships don't matter"? Show some consistency.
