Since Gottfried took over, state has made 4/4 tournaments, finished with RIPs of 50, 54, 31, and 47, and finished 5th, 5th, 7th, and 7th in the conference.
So if State finishes with a 9-9 record and 7th in the conference, their RPI should be around 50 and will be a bubble team. I wouldnt write them off so easily.
eta: State plays in the ACC every year and is used to the schedule so it isnt as big of a deal
eta2: Before this inevitably gets sidetracked, my point is that this isnt going to be a loss that hurts LSU's chances in any way. State is a good program with a good coach. Both State and Marquette have a lot of bball history, even if Marquette was shitty last year

What do maquette and nc state have in common? Their first 2 wins came against IUPUI and LSU, LOLSU JJ would find a way to lose to IUPUI as well so I'd say we're on par with them.
