That is cute. Very timely and edgy. I love nicknames. Did you think of that all by yourself?

Why would anyone go to LSU ???

Yeah. I, like most here, don't know who would or wouldn't be a good AD, but from everything that I have heard from when he was here and then when he left, I think Herb might be a great choice. I'm sure there are others too.
But bigger issue might be FKing. He isn't like some that came before him, that seems certain.

Herb was the person in the AD who controlled the message that was going out, and he was damned good at it. Now, LSU PR is a clusterfrick. Herb would make a great AD. He would go a long way in making the LSU "brand" not be an embarrassment again. I don't think he has a business background, but that is why you hire/keep business experts around to do that stuff for you.

Just like hiring coordinators to do the coaching for you.

You people have no idea why you like him.
I've seen you say that several times and it isn't true. He has continued being an investment first facilities guy at all stops. He was one of the architects of our transformation in 2000. His restructure at Georgia Tech did great things for their athletic department. You don't like that he hired Paul Johnson. Ok. Maybe so, but to act like he was a failure on the level of Joe Alleva is silly. I for one think he's been pretty damn good.

How has he been average at Clemson?

the only reason he's been "average" at Clemson is because he's fought them for increased spending.
wouldn't be an issue at LSU

Rad would be a great hire. The problem is that he is at his dream school at Clemson, and has a "Ship" ring already under his belt. Would take a fortune to lure him away.

Woah, I never said anything close to that.

And Brian Gregory.
Both programs took major steps back.

Yeah, I think he needs to brought back in some capacity or another. He has had a few rolls here and else where in his time - I'm sure he would be very helpful in numerous ways.

Radakovich would be fabulous for LSU and we would be lucky to have him. He has a tremendous reputation nationally that will benefit any program. Despite moron OT baws who think otherwise. But he ain't coming here.
Regarding his time in Atlanta, the GT alums were not in great support of increasing ticket prices and funding athletics as needed. This was an issue in more ways than one for improvement there. Not a huge alumni base for that kind of a program. Certainly not on the donor level of UGA.
Paul Johnson is an excellent fit for an academic school and the talent that can be brought in for football. May not win the NC, but has been very competitive and won a lot of games. Really had only one bad year when the QB went down along with about a dozen other players with injuries.
Radakovich has a successful history at Miami, LSU and GT. Now he has a NC at Clemson and their funding has increased every year with him at the helm. They are rolling there.
We would hit a grand slam having him in Baton Rouge. Love for it to happen, but we need to look elsewhere.

It didn't work out like they hoped, but it was a credible hire when made. Dayton did great things under him.
You can't credibly argue that football took a step back under Paul Johnson. Chan Gailey was absolute garbage and Paul has achieved more than him by just about any measure.

Herb has been with the league office for a while now and has a great job, but he loves LSU and is an LSU grad, and I am sure he sees the absolute clusterfrick it has become....I wonder if he would come home to help rebuild the farm if momma called.
