good post; you have opened my eyes to the youth situation.
LSU fans are always over the top and I find myself that way at times also. I think the biggest frustration I have is that we can't "get it together" for any one year. one year where we don't have to play the youth on a wholesale basis; one year where we don't have a major hole at one position.
our qb woes have soured many fans. and next year, it could very well be the OL.

again, if you think about LSU's pitch to recruits and how we recruit and the type of players that are being recruiting, LSU will be young every year. Why? because LSU does not hesitate to play youth, ever...at any position.
the mantra before may have been that upperclassmen hold the PT advantage, that's been thrown out the window as more and more youth is being injected into every phase of the gameplan.
So again, can you really say you blame youth when that is your exact recruiting pitch and strategy, and it plays out like so more recently?
