Maybe because not every student-athlete in LA is offended by everything they see or read. Maybe they love the fact that in America people are (or used to be) allowed to say whatever they want even if it is insensitive and offending. Maybe they understand that it was done by fanatics of LSU's rivals that were doing it for attention and without true malice.

People also have the right to point out that it was Alabama fans who produced a banner mocking a natural disaster that killed over a thousand people in South Louisiana.
So you want to defend their right to hang up such a banner, but not other people's right to say it's fricked up?
People are allowed to say what they want in America, but they (and the groups they represent) have to live with the consequences.
