Four teams is plenty. We have a fair chance to win the SEC West every year, which means we have a fair chance to win the SEC every year. There won't be a 2004 Auburn team again.
Even if we don't win the SEC West, it's not crazy that we might still have a chance in most years.
I don't think we need to replay the same games, and I think it's ridiculous to tell someone to play 13 games and even if they win all of them that they have to now win three more.

I'd like 6 teams myself. That'd ensure no worthy team gets left out. I can't name any year where the #7 and 8 teams were worthy of being champion.
