Regarding the Ole Miss and Florida games that you mentioned, I was saying I disagree because both those teams made crucial mistakes at the end of the games, and there was nothing about the LSU coaching in those games that stood out as something special that other coaches wouldn't have been able to do. Those were Physical wins.
The game plan against Ole Miss was good because their D was relatively undersized, and struggled vs. the power-running game, but that's just what LSU does, for the most part, regardless of the opponent. The game plan vs. Alabama is generally very similar, but it doesn't work as well because Alabama has the size and strength on D to stuff the power run.
By the way, TCU THRASHED that Ole Miss team in the Peach Bowl 42-3.
As for reloading after early entrants, from the same year, Alabama lost five starters (98 combined career starts) to early entry, then went 12-2 and won the SEC Championship.
Florida St. lost 5 starters (127 combined career starts) to early entry from last year's team. They're currently 7-2. We'll have to see how they finish.
FSU lost four starters (100 combined career starts) to early entry into the 2013 Draft, then won the National Championship.
