I had a golden retriever that my parents got when I was born that lived until I was 16 yrs old.

Her last year of life was pretty bad..she became blind, deaf, and had bad arthritis. I got to where I couldn't stand to see her that way and had to put her down. It was hard to do, but necessary. She was no longer enjoying life and I feel she would probably have thanked me if she could. She couldn't even hardly walk
