No one should be on that committee while working for a University that may make the playoffs.

They have to "recuse" themselves from the discussion when their school is involved.
I'm curious as to why anyone thinks this system is any better than the previous one. It includes more teams, but they could have done that with the BCS.
I just think it's silly that when the BCS was created, it was largely due to the sentiment that people shouldn't chose who the champion was. But ever since 2003-04, people have been gradually regaining the influence to the point that we're now back in the same situation as we were prior to the BCS.
