I'd have to imagine their travel expenses absolutely kills their budget.

I don't know about dropping football...but my school played over there a few times....the first trip, everyone was fired up...after that it declined.
The stadium needs a major overhaul. All that said, still not a bad place to play an away game every decade or so.
