About 6 months ago, a lot of deals came up on large items I wanted to purchase and I went into a bit of credit card debt for the savings. Overall, I ended up around 1,800 in debt and saved around $400.00.
It took me longer to pay it off than I anticipated because I had a couple of expenses I wasn't expecting. While I saved money, I will try not to ever do that again, and instead I'm building up a fund if that situation ever arises again. I hated the stress.
I have around 6k in student loans that I'm stretching out as long as possible so I can have an open line of credit for house purchasing purposes in 3 years or so and my vehicle which is currently worth more than I owe and will be paid off before 2017 ends.
