You could make the same exact game with some changes on the Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox, so it worked....but the GC still got trounced. Nintendo HAS to be within the Port Range and then it still has a ton of work to do to lure 3rd parties back.

This is well said. 1080p vs 900p isn't that important but mass differences like Nintendo does completely changes games.
